Sandy Beach

The weather was so nice again today that we decided to take the boys in search of some sand to play in. Owen has this book called Construction Countdown that has a picture of a huge sandbox filled with trucks at the end, and he's always asking to play in that sandbox. :) We ended up at Luther Burbank Park on Mercer Island, and Bumpa Ben was able to come by and play with us.

The water is still quite chilly, but Owen loved scooping up water in his watering can.

Oliver and I dipped our toes in too, but I think it was a bit chilly for Oliver!

Isn't it gorgeous weather?

Owen dumping out his water.

Digging in the sand, we filled our buckets with sand and then tipped it over and made sand castles (too bad I didn't get a picture of our castle, oh well).

Oliver and his hat, his favorite activity was picking up handfuls of sand and then dropping it and watching it fall.

Love the blond curls, don't you! :)

Oliver and Mommy sitting in the sand. Isn't he so cute in his sunglasses?
