We were invited to Lewis Creek Park in Bellevue by Owen's friend Sarah and her mom. The park was hosting an Arbor/Earth Day celebration and the kites were a part of that. Lewis Creek Park is an awesome park, there is a great playground and a board walk that goes through a marsh land. You can hear lots of frogs, and see ducks and birds. There are tons of trails through the forrest. We saw trillium flowers, which are really neat and the boys had a great time exploring and then flying kites.

Oliver was absolutely fascinated by the ducks who were eating lunch too off the edge of the boardwalk.
Owen flying his butterfly kite. He's been fascinated with butterflies since we saw them at the Science Center, so he was in hog heaven.
Ollie had a blast draggin his kite around too.
Kites on a stick, what an ingenius idea! And the wind was perfect for kite flying too.
Still dragging that kite. Oliver really enjoyed playing with the big kids. Sarah is an awesome friend to both Owen and Oliver. Since we've been seeing Sarah and her mom semi-regularly Oliver's vocabulary has skyrocketed, I think he's motivated to communicate so he can be a "big kid" too. :)
All 3 of the kids had a great time running around the field with those kites. I have got to rig a couple of those puppies up, a great way to tire them out! :)
