4th of July

We stayed at home for the Fourth this year. Snoqualmie Ridge (where we live) has a great celebration for the kids, so we took them there. The Homeowner's Association and Church on the Ridge pay for everything so there's ton of free stuff - free bouncies, free snow cones, popcorn, train rides, pony rides, and live music. :)

The parade consists of kids in strollers and wagons or on bikes all decorated in red, white and blue. There were more people in the parade than watching the parade, but everyone had fun. :)

Oliver says, "close the door now, I'm ready to drive this away!"

He loved sitting in that fire engine. :)

Of course, Kevin had to do the putting challenge with the boys.
Oliver seems geniuinely interested in golf,
sometimes at home he'll pick up Daddy's club and a ball and try to put on his own.

Owen was less enthusiastic about the golf, but he obliged Kevin.

Owen really got a charge out of the bouncy house.

He was so excited about jumping that he didn't want to leave,

which is a radical change from the little guy that used to cling to me in fear on air track day at Little Gym.

The boys and I found a nice shady spot to enjoy our free snow cones. :)

For dinner, we made homemade pizza.

Here are the boys singing "Twinkle Twinkle" to the pizza dough as it rises on our front porch.

Owen absolutely loved helping me kneed the dough.

"We're making pizza Daddy!"
