As Oliver's first birthday approaches, I can't help but look back and think about how quickly this year has gone by.

Look at how bald poor Owen was, with all the hair he has now it's hard to believe that he was so hairless just a year ago!

Tiny peanut in my bed
Not tiny anymore. He's a woogie now! Look at this defiant face as he uses that blue mallet to bam the front door. It seems like he bams everything these days, those drums from Aki Matsuri must have had quite an impression. : )
Oliver is "helping" with the laundry
He stands everywhere he can these days.
Mommy and Oliver at the park.

Oliver at Kidz Bounce, he enjoyed crawling around the inflatable toys and bouncing. While Owen was a bit nervous about the bouncing, Oliver went right to it with gusto - fearless.
Oliver and Owen playing piano together.
Oliver's personality has really exploded. He's very assertive (though he always was) and brave. He's independent and wants to do things himself. He definitely wants to do anything Owen does, Oliver adores his big brother. If there's a golf club around, you can bet Oliver will grab it and either swing it around, bam it, or chew on the handle.
It's been a wonderful year, and I can't wait to see what is to come and how he grows over the next year and the years to come.
Happy Birthday Oliver!
Love, mom
