Owen's Birthday Party

Owen's actual birthday isn't until May 12, but we had the party early. Here are some pictures from our fun day! Kevin and Owen before the guests arrive. Ryan and Kim Mallady gave Owen this truck and he absolutely loves it! Thanks Ryan and Kim!

We made ooblik (cornstarch and water, really fun stuff you should make some if you haven't heard of it. It's hard when you squeeze it and liquidy when you dribble it. VERY messy, and I would advise against putting it down your sink. Mix water and cornstarch and one drop of dish soap together and enjoy! The mixture should be akin to peanut butter consistency.).

Here you can see that the party was enjoyed by the "big kids" too! Kevin, Travis and Jarl just had to try out the ooblik before the kids got a chance with it.
Owen enjoyed the ooblik too. Kevin was so enthralled with the stuff, it was his first ooblik experience.
Auntie Esperanza (or Auntie Ranza as Owen calls her) brought this wonderful dump truck pinata for the kids. Everyone got a couple good whacks at it. Left to Right: Owen, Emily, Jacob

After the party, Owen helps clean up the mess with the new excavator his Auntie Ranza got him. :) Thanks Auntie, you're the bestest!!!
